With Support from Quality Engagement Program by Savitribai Phule Pune University
Digital Humanities has become an increasingly important academic field in the last decade as it engages scholars in research at the intersection of the Humanities and digital technology. Given the ubiquitous nature of digital technologies in 21st century life, this emerging field offers scholars unique opportunities for research, pedagogy, and praxis.
The Digital Humanities Winter School offers an intensive and hands-on introduction to Digital Humanities. The Winter School will begin with introductory sessions on the state of the field internationally, and in India. There will also be more specialized sessions on theoretical approaches to Digital Humanities, training in selected tools, and pedagogical practices for teaching literature and language. The Winter School will end with a panel discussion on the future of Digital Humanities in India.
